PEEK Type K Cable | 2x20AWG 500V 300℃
PEEK TYPE K THERMOCOUPLE CABLE: PRECISION MEASUREMENT FOR EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS
Our PEEK Type K Thermocouple Cable represents the pinnacle of high-temperature measurement technology, engineered for accurate temperature sensing in the most demanding industrial and scientific applications. This advanced cable features paired 20AWG conductors of Nickel-Chromium (NiCr+) and Nickel-Aluminum (NiAl-) alloys with 7/0.30 stranding, each insulated with high-performance PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) and protected by an overall SPC wire braid shield (≥85% coverage) and PEEK outer sheath. Rated for 500V operations at continuous temperatures up to 300℃, this 3.8mm OD cable delivers reliable Type K thermocouple signal transmission with exceptional flexibility, chemical resistance, and thermal stability.

KEY FEATURES & TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES
✔ Extreme Thermal Performance: PEEK construction withstands continuous 300℃ operation (tested at 320℃/8hrs), maintaining insulation integrity where conventional materials fail.
✔ Precision Thermocouple Accuracy: Matched NiCr(+) & NiAl(-) alloy conductors ensure stable EMF output and accurate temperature measurement per Type K specifications.
✔ Superior Material Science: PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) offers exceptional mechanical strength, chemical inertness, and outstanding combustion characteristics (inherently flame retardant with low smoke emission).
✔ Effective Signal Shielding: SPC wire braid shield (≥85% coverage) protects the sensitive low-voltage thermocouple signal from electromagnetic interference in industrial environments.
✔ Enhanced Flexibility & Durability: 7/0.30 fine stranding of the alloy conductors provides excellent flexibility for routing in complex installations while resisting thermal fatigue.

WHY CHOOSE OUR PEEK TYPE K CABLE?
We specialize in high-performance cables for critical measurement applications. This cable is not merely an assembly of wires; it is a calibrated measurement tool engineered for long-term stability under extreme conditions. The use of premium PEEK—a semi-crystalline thermoplastic known for its exceptional thermal and mechanical properties—instead of standard fluoropolymers, ensures the insulation will not crack, melt, or degrade, preserving the accuracy of the thermocouple loop. The silver-plated copper shield provides superior, long-term EMI protection compared to aluminum or tinned copper. We understand that in high-temperature sensing, reliability is non-negotiable.

FAQ
Q1: Why is PEEK superior to FEP or PTFE for thermocouple insulation?
A: PEEK offers a unique combination of very high continuous use temperature (up to 250-300°C), exceptional mechanical strength and cut-through resistance, and superb chemical resistance. While PTFE can handle similar temperatures, PEEK is significantly tougher and has better abrasion resistance, which is critical in dynamic or high-vibration industrial installations.
Q2: Is this an extension cable or a thermocouple wire? Can it be used for the sensing junction?
A: This is designed as a high-performance extension or compensating cable. It uses the same NiCr/NiAl alloys as Type K thermocouples to minimize error but is optimized for signal transmission from the sensing junction to the readout device. It is not typically intended to form the sensing junction itself, which requires different construction for direct immersion.
Q3: How does the 7/0.30 stranding benefit a thermocouple application?
A: The fine stranding significantly improves the cable's flexibility and resistance to work hardening from vibration, which is a common cause of failure in solid thermocouple wires. This extends service life in demanding installations.
Q4: What chemicals can the PEEK jacket resist?
A: PEEK has outstanding chemical resistance. It is virtually inert to a wide range of chemicals, including hydrocarbons, acids, bases, and steam. This makes it ideal for harsh chemical plant environments where other materials would degrade.
Q5: Can you supply this cable with different thermocouple types (e.g., Type J, Type T)?
A: Absolutely. We can manufacture this high-performance PEEK-based construction with the specific conductor alloys required for Type J (Iron/Constantan), Type T (Copper/Constantan), and other standard thermocouple types. Please inquire with your requirements.
