    Typical Applications

−Wiring in Hot or Cold Environment

−Wiring in Abrasive Environment, eg. Moisture or Chemicals

    −Wiring in Confined Spaces

Perfluoroalkoxy Alkane (PFA) offers an excellent combination of properties that are similar to those of polytetrafluoro-

ethylene (PTFE). PFA wires have better anti-stick properties and higher chemical resistance. They are preferred when

extended service is required in hostile environments involving chemical, thermal, and mechanical stress. Compared to

FEP, they are more capable to withstand repeated bending without fracture.

The DZU-PA series includes unshielded high voltage wires with conductor made of stranded copper wires and PFA

dielectric. The copper wires are silver plated or nickel plated, resulting in two different operating temperature ranges: up

    to 205°C or 250°C respectively.

PFA high voltage wire is a specialized type of wire that is designed to withstand high voltage applications while providing excellent insulation and durability. PFA, or perfluoroalkoxy, is a type of fluoropolymer that offers exceptional resistance to heat, chemicals, and electrical stress, making it an ideal material for high voltage wire applications. In this article, we will explore the features and applications of PFA high voltage wire, highlighting its unique properties and the industries where it is commonly used.

One of the key features of PFA high voltage wire is its excellent electrical insulation properties. PFA is known for its high dielectric strength, which allows it to effectively insulate against high voltages without the risk of breakdown or electrical leakage. This makes PFA high voltage wire suitable for a wide range of high voltage applications, including power distribution, electrical equipment, and industrial machinery where reliable insulation is crucial for safety and performance.

In addition to its exceptional electrical insulation properties, PFA high voltage wire also offers outstanding thermal stability. PFA can withstand extreme temperatures, ranging from -200°C to 260°C, without compromising its mechanical or electrical properties. This makes PFA high voltage wire well-suited for applications in harsh environments where temperature fluctuations are common, such as aerospace, automotive, and semiconductor manufacturing.

Furthermore, PFA high voltage wire exhibits excellent chemical resistance, making it suitable for use in corrosive or harsh chemical environments. The inert nature of PFA allows it to resist degradation from a wide range of chemicals, including acids, bases, solvents, and fuels, ensuring long-term reliability and performance in challenging industrial settings. This feature makes PFA high voltage wire an ideal choice for chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas applications where exposure to aggressive chemicals is a concern.

Another notable feature of PFA high voltage wire is its mechanical strength and flexibility. Despite its excellent insulation and thermal properties, PFA high voltage wire remains flexible and easy to handle, allowing for easy installation and routing in complex electrical systems. Its high tensile strength and resistance to mechanical abrasion further enhance its durability, making it suitable for demanding applications that require long-term reliability and performance.

All in all, PFA high voltage wire offers a unique combination of features that make it well-suited for a wide range of high voltage applications across various industries. Its exceptional electrical insulation, thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength make it an ideal choice for applications where reliable performance in harsh environments is essential. Whether it's in power distribution, aerospace, automotive, or chemical processing, PFA high voltage wire continues to play a crucial role in enabling safe and efficient electrical systems. As technology advances and the demand for high voltage applications grows, PFA high voltage wire will undoubtedly remain a key component in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical infrastructure.
